Assistant Technical Director
King Lear is one of the largest productions I'm proud to have been a part of. My contributions include carpentry, welding, painting, carving, and technical special effects (fabric drop and rain sequence). The set consisted of a rake that extended all the way downstage to the audience's feet. For the audience members sitting in the center first aisle, the rain was a mere 3 feet from where they sat. A drain with a pump and a ground row guard at the audience's feet made sure that spectators didn't get wet. Since there was so much that needed to be done, everyday was fast-paced and having knowledge employees in the shop with good work ethic made all the difference.
